Pierre Hardy, one of those cult designers who make mind-blowing shoes, has a taste for limited edition shoes. The big news it that he has launched recently his 8th limited edition shoe: the DISCORAMA.
It's a unisex sneaker, in a high top style, laces and Velcro straps. What makes them special is the 3D effect gained through straps of metallic leather in gold and silver, mixed with black patent leather, all on a black suede base. They're a tribute to the disco years: fun, flirty, with a strong message.
There are only 500 pairs in the whole wide world and they cost around 600 American dollars. If you're interested, selected boutiques sell them worldwide.
But why are limited editions so appealing, after all? It might just be that we're all sick and tired of that uncomfortable situation when the woman sitting next to you on the bus is wearing the exact same shoes as you. Sounds familiar, right?
If you can't afford to buy special shoes from special designers, there's always that local brand or designer who can create for you the shoe of your dreams, custom made and one of a kind. But a girl can dream, right?
What do you think about the Discorama? Like it? How about limited edition shoe collections?
