Shoe Obsession of the Day: Nude sandals

In my opinion, one can never have enough nude shoes. The possibilities are really endless: as sandals, flats, high heels, designed to be classy, modern or avantgarde, in suede, patent leather or regular leaher, in lace up styles or buckles, you name it!

If you ask me, this is the new black shoe of a modern girl. You can pair it with just about everything and you can never fail to look perfect while wearing a nude shoe, wherever you might take them.

Therefore, today I'm gonna share with you some styles I found on monshowroom.com/fr, after being inspired by the Wangs which came in my inbox this morning:

Alexander Wang strappy sandals, 510 euro, net-a-porter

Pieces Sandals, 45 euro, monshowroom

Petite Mendigote wedges, 135 euro, monshowroom

 Axara Booties, 115 euro, monshowroom

D.co booties, 145 euro, monshowroom

Now tell me, which one's your favourite?

Do you like nude shoes? How many do you own?

Monday Shoe Obsession: Crystals and Studs

It's the first working day for 2011. Probably most of you wonderful friends are back at the office. I can only imagine you as enthusiastic about this Monday as myself. Therefore, I didn't prepare any novel-length article because I don't want to stress you out even more than this day is already.

What I have for you instead is two (I couldn't decide on only one) wicked pair of shoes.

First up, the Yolanda Spikes 120 studded leather pumps courtesy of Louboutin. I love the colour, but I would have prefered the spikes in silver instead of gold. All in all, it seems the right shoe to start the year with, right? The mix of colours is very optimistic and they would bring a springy vibe to any outfit.

Next, it's the Italian shoe master Giuseppe Zanotti with the Crystal-embellished suede sandals.

They have something very princessy about them (would it be all the shiny crystals that they are covered in?). I also love the retro cut and shape, which makes them very classy, feminine with a modern touch, all at the same time. Perfect, right?

Which one do you like best?

Stay tuned because soon the long-awaited interview will be up for your personal pleasure and leisure. Some more documented and extended articles will follow, also. I just have to organize and schedule all of them. With a little bit of luck, all should be as planned soon!

Shoe dilemma of the day: Louboutin Pigalle in denim

In between the best of 2010 tops that are circulating on most of the websites, the resolution lists, the "what I've learned" gratitude thoughts and the New Year's Eve plans - all of which are very useful and fulfilling, of course - I think we should also do some mind stretching by focusing on some more "easy" things, like shoes, for example.

Today I have for you a more casual version of the Louboutin Pigalle studded pumps. They're made of denim, a rather over-rated fabric and much too often used, if you ask me.

I remember that, as a young student, I was told in class the story of denim: how it was created for the use of cowboys as they needed a fabric which was strong enough and which could be dragged into mud and still keep those men protected from the cows and the horrors of nature. I guess I was brainwashed at that tender age because I have never been a fan of denim. Everytime I think of denim I instantly think of muddy cowboys. I don't really understand why some people wear jeans in summer time, for example. Or why some designers decided that this was the right fabric to be used for bags or hats or whatever. It's a personal choice, after all, and I can respect that.

Now, retournons a  nos mouttons, our Louboutins. Usually, I don't like denim shoes. At all! The studded Pigalle pumps have been a hit. I'm absolutely mad about them. They've got attitude, due to the studds, but they are also oh so feminine because of the deep cut, the stiletto heel and the pointy toe. A perfect combination!  They have been taken to red carpets worldwide, every celebrity owns them and every regular gal like myself is dreaming of them. But Pigalle in denim? I'm not convinced, I don't know if I even like them, let alone if I would wear them. My childhood memories are somehow pushing back the love for Louboutins, in any shape or fabric.

So I need your help. What do you think? Do you like them in denim? Good, bad or meah?

P.S. Happy last minute shopping for the party outfits, good luck with your lists of any kind and have some great last 3 days of the year! :-)

Shoe obsession: YSL Tribtoo Suede Pumps

The YSL Tribtoos are one of the most iconic shoes out there. They are somehow that kind of shoe that everybody knows about, which give the lucky lady wearing them a certain special status. They are very popular among celebrities and every fashionista is secretely dreaming of having her closet full of them. They are, if you wish, the Kelly (Hermes) bag of the shoe world.

Now, imagine my surprise when I discovered them today on Net-a-porter in a colour which makes them even more adorable and mind blowing than before: emerald deep green. They are absolutely gorgeous and worth more than a bag of diamonds (well, not really, only obsession-wise).

Gorgeous, right? What do you think? Would you ever wear these babies? Or sleep with them tight in your arms?

Tuesday Shoe Obsession: Jimmy Choo glittery sandals

Found this retro inspired platform sandals from Jimmy Choo while browsing my notifications and websites as I regularly do every morning. Thought of sharing them with you to brighten your day or give you some inspiration for your purchases this month.

Don't know what I love most: the wooden finish of the platform, the retro cuts, the glittery fabric and the golden colour (one of the season's key colour). These sandals are definitely mood boosters. I would wear them at a Christmas party, with a nice shift dress.

By the way, what's your holidays party look?
