Get Your Kinky-Barbarella On with Mihaela Glavan

Mihaela Glavan's collection for the season to come, Fall-Winter 2012-2013, is pure awesomeness. And I'm not saying it because she's my alltime favourite Romanian designer, as you might have figured out so far.

Her collection, in nudes, a lot of black and some shades of brown, are bound to bring out your inner Barbarella. To do that, the designer has used metal (both silver and gold) molds, shamelessly applied on the heels, and wire-like stitching, both neaty and chaotic, applied all along thigh-high boots or pumps.

Of course, her signature style is still there: the minimalistic design, the cuts in leather, the raw edges and the strips of leather beautifully plaited together.

The Romanian Shoe designer was inspired by baroque deco, but also by futuristic sculptures.
Cool detail: for the metal molds Mihaela had full support from Aurel Ierulescu, a well-known Romanian sculptor.

So, will you go all futuristic-metal this fall?
